Egyptair Cargo have added a second daily flight to Ostend Airport from Cairo.

The first daily flight is as follows:
MS520 CAI/OST 07.30/11.50
MS521 OST/CAI 13.20/19.05

Second new flight:
MS528 CAI/OST 12.30/16.50
MS529 OST/CAI 17.50/23.35

All flight are operated with A300B4-203(F)s.
 
Transavia will inaugurate nonstop service from Amsterdam to Genoa on April 27th. The airline will operate 3 flights a week, on Wednesday/Friday/Sunday, with a Boeing 737. On April 28th Transavia resumes nonstop service from Amsterdam to Reus in Spain with 3 flights a week operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
 
Ukraine International Airlines: Neue Flüge auf die Krim
Ukraine International Airlines vergrößert das Flugangebot auf die im Schwarzen Meer gelegene Halbinsel Krim. Ab 5. Juli verkehrt dienstags eine Boeing B-737 nonstop ab Berlin-Tegel nach Simferopol. Zudem besteht ein Dienst zwischen Frankfurt und Simferopol, der während der Hochsaison auf zwei Umläufe aufgestockt wird.

Sweden's City Airline to launch service between Tallinn, Gothenburg

Sweden's City Airline is to begin flights at the end of March between the Swedish city of Gothenburg and Estonia's capital Tallinn, press reports said here Friday.

City Airline will start its thrice-weekly service on March 21, the business daily Aripaev reported.

It would be the only operator to service the route after Estonian Air announced it will stop flights between Tallinn and Gothenburg at the beginning of next month because the route failed to attract enough passengers.

City Airline operates Embraer 135 and Embraer 145 jets, with a capacity of 37 and 49 seats respectively.

The Swedish carrier flies out of Gothenburg to Helsinki, Birmingham, Manchester, Lyon, Milan and Zurich, and plans to open routes to Bergen in Norway and Budapest.

Tarom fliegt ab 28. März neu (1,2,3,4,5) von SBZ nach VIE (AT5) in code-share mit Austrian. Die neuen Flüge ersetzen die bisherige CLJ-VIE Direkt-Verbindung (1,3,5) mit dem routing CLJ-SBZ-VIE-SBZ-CLJ.

Just read on jetsite's new headlines that JJ will be increasing its service to Paris to 2 daily flights from Jun05.

I don't have the exact dates or more info about flight numbers and all that since I only have acess to the head lines... maybe someone one of our aviation friends here that have full access can give us more details about it.

In addition to this, according to the news posted on infraero's website JJ is also set to start new service from BEL-MIA nonstop this March.... does anyone know if this has been annouced anywhere else???

Good to see JJ expand internationally.... they really need to be more agressive in this market!!

Eva Air will increase the frequency of service from Taipei to Vienna from 3 to 5 flights a week. Currently the airline operates Taipei departures on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. On May 17th it will add a Tuesday flight and on May 21st a Saturday flight, all operated with an Airbus A330-200 via Bangkok.
China Airlines is planning its own service from Taipei to Vienna starting sometime in May. Initially the airport would operate 2 flights a week with more flights being added later.
 
Qatar Airways to launch Doha-Jakarta direct service

JAKARTA: Qatar Airways said it will serve direct flights between Doha and Jakarta to meet growing demand for flight service between the two countries, Jakarta's Ankara news agency reported.

Indonesia is one of the largest markets in Southeast Asia, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said.

Qatar Airways will start direct flights twice a week out of seven weekly flights it serves between the two cities, Bakar said.

Five other flights will be made via Kuala Lumpur, he added.
 
Emirates ups cargo flight to Gothenburg, Hong Kong
Emirates Skycargo has announced additional freighter services on its Dubai-Gothenburg and Dubai-Hong Kong routes from March 29, 2005.

In the new schedule, Emirates Skycargo will fly to Gothenburg on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday five times a week and to Hong Kong on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nine times a week in partnership with SAS Cargo, says a press release.


Presently, Emirates Skycargo carries toys, fabrics and hi-tech components from Hong Kong and finished telecom products, pharmaceuticals and vehicle spare parts from Gothenburg in its Boeing 747-400F freighters.
 
According to officials of the tourist board of the Canary Islands, PLUNA is planning to start up to 4 weekly flights from MVD to Tenerife with a stop in northern Brazil.
I was quite surprised about that news. Are there so many Uruguayos on the Canary Islands. I know most of the Venezuelan living in Spain live on the Canary Islands.
The aircraft mentioned was a 757.
 
Air Europa's Sub General Director, Gerardo Ariño, announced today that UX will begin flights between MAD and Beijing on May 22, 2005 using A340 equipment.In addition,he said that flights MAD-Shanghai-MAD are also going to start soon. He also mentioned that if everything goes well they might start BCN-China flights as soon as winter 2005/spring 2006.
 
Air Europa announced yet another route for 2005: MAD-FOR nonstop. This service will start in September/05 and will be operated twice a week.

Fortaleza, FOR is a resort city located in the Northeast of Brazil, popular with European charter airlines (e.g. Dutch airliner Martinair flies 2 x week AMS-FOR nonstop with the B763). Interesting information: CSA Czech Airlines also flies twice weekly Prague, PRG-FOR with the A310.

Air Europa will also increase flights MAD-SSA from 4 x week to 5 x week, nonstop in October 2005.

With this increase in services, Air Europa will operate daily flights to Brazil (2 x FOR; 5 x SSA).
 
I have notice, while browsing GDS, 2 new destinations of Air Senegal International (V7) to be added in summer 05. MAD is supposed to be operated 2x weekly by 73G and ACC also 2x weekly via ABJ. Can somebody confirm the move or give some add info.
 
In addition to the new Trans-Atlantic routes CO is launching this Summer they are boosting frequencies both Domestically and Internationally.

EWR -LGW goes to 3 daily two times a week (1 757, 2 777-200s), the rest of the week it's two daily 777s.

EWR- PDX goes to 3 daily

EWR-Rome goes to 11 weekly flights with 767-400 and 767-200.

Also Nonstop EWR-Calgary (737-500), as well as nonstop EWR-Vancouver (737-800).

Edinburgh and Glasglow also receive increased frequencies.
 
Bulgaria's National Air Carrier Launches New Flights to Europe

Bulgaria's national carrier Bulgaria Air said Wednesday it was launching new flight destinations from the Black Sea airport of Varna to Amsterdam, Vienna and Frankfurt in the end of May and the beginning of July.

The airline said it would fly from Varna to Amsterdam on Mondays, to Vienna - on Fridays and to Frankfurt on Sundays.

The Varna-Vienna destination will be serviced jointly with the Austrian Airlines, Bulgaria Air said.

As from next Sunday through Oct. 29 Bulgaria air is increasing its weekly flights from Sofia to Prague to three; to Brussels and Paris to five and to Amsterdam and Barcelona to six.

Bulgaria Air is flying to London daily throughout the year and its Varna-London-Varna flights will be increased to three from two per week as of next Sunday.

Saudia Operates Direct Flights To Milan, Italy


Jeddah, March 26, SPA -- The Saudi Arabia Airlines (SAA) has decided to operate regular and direct flights to Milan, Italy, every Monday ad Friday from Riyadh and Jeddah.
Director General of SAA's office in Europe and America Abdullah Al-Husseini said the flights of SAA to Milan will proceed from there to Paris.
It is worth mentioning that SAA started its flights to Milan five years ago by two indirect flights, but SAA opened an office in Rome for the services of passengers 28 years ago.

Der MD90-Kurs damals war Verlängerung aus Athen. ;)

Wäre doch auch mal was für München. Mailand bekommt
wenigstens die Airlines. ;)
