AIRPORT JET CHAOS

TENS of thousands of passengers suffered travel chaos yesterday after two jets broke down on both runways at Heathrow airport.
Passengers on a KLM flight to Amsterdam had to be evacuated from their plane when its wheel brakes locked on the northern runway at 1.15pm.
Then a Cathay Pacific plane's engine caught fire on take off for Hong Kong at about 3pm. Almost 60 flights were cancelled as the airport was paralysed without an open runway for one hour.
An airport worker said: "It was a freakish but no one was to blame."
