Lufthansa Italia, today announced the addition of 4 new routes from Milan Malpensa Airport which will be launched in March 2010.
The carrier has added Stockholm and Warsaw on the European network and Palermo and Olbia on the domestic network.
“We have had a successful first year in Italy and Europe and our expansion underlines the strategic importance of the Italian market,” says Heike Birlenbach, Vice President Division Milan, Lufthansa Italia.
Lufthansa Italia will also increase the frequency of flights to Naples, Barcelona and Budapest. Naples and Barcelona will increase to 19 weekly flights and Budapest will increase to 12 flights per week.
The new routes and frequency additions reflect the airline’s commitment to expand from its Milan Malpensa hub, connecting popular currently-served cities to ensure their passengers have easy access to the most attractive destinations.
